ASN Members engage in monthly virtual screenings of early-stage companies that are ready for investment. Access to a term sheet and completed due diligence by the sponsoring angel group saves other members valuable time and frees up resources. Syndication enables portfolio companies to fill out rounds today and build connections for future follow-on funding.
Each year ASN members invest about $4 million in incremental funding in promising companies that have been vetted through due diligence by prominent angel groups, who have already begun their funding. So the quality of the deal flow is high. Almost half of the companies that present at ASN obtain incremental funding.
Criteria for ASN Nominating Members to propose a portfolio company screen at ASN’s regular monthly meeting:
•. Company must be nominated by an ASN Nominating Member
• Due diligence has been completed, the nominating group is willing to share its diligence report, and the group’s deal memo is available to share
•. Term sheet has been executed
•. At least 25% of the round is committed (up to $1M round). Case-by-case consideration for larger rounds
•. ASN Nominating Member is leading/co-leading the round; $100K+ committed
•. Sufficient room in the round to support syndication; $250K or more remaining

Testimonials from Angel Group Leaders
Anthony Bajoras, Cancer Fund Founder and Managing Director
“Deal flow is nice, but our greater need is investors/co-investors to support our portfolio companies, so we are becoming more intentional about collaborating with other investors. This is driven by our desire to increase the check size/yield to companies so that it is better balanced with the level of diligence we require to make an investment.”
Mike Krebs, Chairman, Pasadena Angels
“The benefits of ASN membership include: (i) deal flow with attached due diligence—the latter is the holy grail; (ii) deals coming from a trusted source; and (iii) networking.”
Anthony R. Lettich, Managing Director, The Angel Roundtable
“Our deal flow of vetted opportunities has increased dramatically due to ASN along with the overall quality of deals we bring forward to our members. The ability to syndicate our portfolio outside the Southeastern USA provides The Angel Roundtable an opportunity to entice early seed projects such that we can lead select investments and support such companies with greater involvement/stronger guidance.”
Benefits of ASN to Presenting Founders
-
Presenting companies pitch to multiple investors simultaneously, immediately expanding their outreach efforts. The collaborative Q&A discussion with multiple groups can also lead to new ideas and considerations. Interested investors follow-up with the deal lead and founders for due diligence and next steps.
-
ASN is an active national network of angel groups, family offices, VCs and individual investors who work together to syndicate deals and close rounds. This enables the presentIng company to fill out a current round with multiple partners or address a larger capital need.
-
The format provides companies with an opportunity to build new investor relationships, often resulting in access to additional resources and next stage capital. ASN Members start with the end in mind — helping companies move forward towards a successful future exit for a win-win that benefits everyone.
Testimonials from Founders
Robert Futch, CTO Delta Development Team
“ASN was instrumental in connecting Delta Development with the right investors in an efficient manner. The group discussion fostered relationships and sharing of diligence between angel groups that answered questions quickly. Rather than spending months traveling to individual meetings, we were able to present to multiple investment groups simultaneously and find investors who truly believed in our mission of advancing emergency blood transfusion technology.”
Richard Austin, CEO and Michael Abrahamson, SVP Operations at Reglagene
“ASN gave us a valuable opportunity to connect with new angel and investment groups, many of whom we’ve maintained relationships with for several years. It opened doors to long-term partnerships that have continued to grow. Presenting to multiple groups simultaneously was especially powerful as it allowed us to build broad interest across the investor community in a single setting. The Q&A sessions also surfaced recurring themes and questions, which gave us clear guidance on how to sharpen our messaging for future pitches. One challenging aspect was the high-stakes nature of presenting to so many groups at once. We knew that a single misstep in how we presented ourselves could impact our chances with multiple investors simultaneously, so we approached it with a strong focus on preparation and clarity.”
Where ASN Member Groups are Located
The Angel Syndication Network (ASN) is a voluntary collaboration among early-stage investors and groups.
By participating as an investor in ASN events and being part of the ASN network you agree to follow the following guidelines set up by the group:
If you participate in ASN, you are an accredited investor, as defined by Securities and Exchange Commission Regulation D, and you are part of an angel or a VC group.
Nominating angel group members should be members of the Angel Capital Association (ACA) in good standing.
ASN members that nominate companies to go in front of ASN are willing to share their Due Diligence(DD) with other ASN members
It is up to the groups exchanging DD to sign any treaties that respective groups adhere to
You are making your own decisions, and not relying on DD documents or ASN discussions
It is understood that information discussed regarding presenting companies may include proprietary and confidential information and when members participate in ASN meetings they agree to hold all such information in confidence and shall not use this information other than for the purposes of a possible investment in the presenting company.
You further agree that you will not hold anyone liable for any breach of security using the Zoom platform.
We do not allow participants to utilize AI (or automated tools) to generate notes.
Companies agree to provide (when asked) the total incremental investment your company received as a result of contacts made through ASN.
